Passing all those edifices that form part of Yokohama’s historic legacy, the NYK Maritime, the Teisansoko complex, we will reach the construction site for the new City Hall, the artists’ shop Kitanaku COOP, the eating and drinking paradise in the Nogei district which is accessed by the underpass beneath National Highway 16. Into Yokohama’s Maze

観光のスタートは、BankART Studio NYKを巡る旅から始まります。1953年生まれのコンクリートの荒々しい空間に咲く花畑と海を彷徨いながら、建築家により封印された光の部屋（島）を訪ね歩きます。河岸には、草木が繁茂し、動物たちがポツネンと存在する楽園が出現。水上の家を訪ねる事もできます。

NYK本体のあとは、黄金町への道程「近くにあるのに気づかない街」を巡るプログラムです。「日本郵船博物館」に立ち寄り、日本近代の礎を築いた帝蚕倉庫群の跡地、北仲地区へ。現在ここは再開発のまっただなかで、新市庁舎の工事も進んでいますが、12年前には253名ものクリエイターのシェアスタジオ「北仲BRICK&北仲WHITE」があった場所です。今回、展覧会期間にあわせて、「北仲COOP」と称した創造都市の知の集積であるミュージアムショップがオープンします。（主催：横浜創造界隈共同体）ここに掲げられたアーティストの言葉は、白い仮囲をぐるっと巡ります。そして「国道16号線を渡れ！」の号令のもと、ぴおシティの地下道をくぐると野毛地区へと出ます。ここまでくると黄金町はすぐそこです。

「歴史的建造物（未活用）」や「横浜の郊外住宅」、「アーティストのシェアスペース」を巡るツアーや、「続・朝鮮通信使2017～韓国のオルタナティブ」等の特別メニューも用意されています。BankART LifeⅤをお楽しみください。

NYKの森と河岸は、屋台や釜戸やバスがある雑多で賑やかな森です。ここにはいないはずの動物や植物が生息する不思議な森です。NYK’s forest and waterfront host various stalls, a Kamado and a parked bus with a bar. This mysterious forest is home to animals and plants that one wouldn’t expect to find here.

The multiple archives BankART has to date promoted and cultivated are brought together, introducing a world akin to a toy box that one rarely sees, featuring an array of publications, posters, collection catalogues, works on the Korean emissaries and so forth.

BankART Life V~KANKO（Yokohama Tourism and Sightseeing.）

The departure point for the sightseeing course is a stroll around BankART Studio NYK. Constructed in 1953, this rough concrete warehouse has been transformed into an oasis, a flower garden on the sea front, where visitors can stroll about the room of light (Island). On the waterside, plants lushly grow in a paradise for animals. Visits to the houseboats moored on the waterfront are also possible. After visiting Studio NYK, we continue on our journey toward Koganecho “a neighbourhood one doesn't notice although it’s nearby.” The next stop is the NYK Maritime Museum, before heading in the direction of Kitanaka district, site of the Teisansoko complex that formed the cornerstone of modern Japan. While currently in the midst of redevelopment and construction site for the new Yokohama City Hall is proceeding as planned, twelve years ago this site was home for 253 artists sharing the studio spaces Kitanaka BRICK & Kitanaka WHITE. On this occasion, during the exhibition period, a museum shop called Kitanaka COOP will open, which will stock a wealth of knowledge on the Creative City Project. This will be organized by the Yokohama Creative Hub Community. The artist’s slogan “What does the future hold in store” encircles the white surroundings. And then comes the recommendation to “Cross National Route 16!” taking the subterranean pass from Pio City to the Noge district. Having got this far, Koganecho is just a few steps away. Customized itineraries, such as tours to historical buildings not yet open to the public, suburban housing projects in Yokohama, artists’ shared spaces, as well as the Sequel to the Korean Emissaries 2017 ~ Korean alternatives, will also be on offer.

A profusion of blue sea and white organic light-bulb like flowers pervade a derelict concrete space. Amidst all of this, we can see a complex of light storing buildings. We come close to understanding the meaning of “seeing light.”

BankARTがこれまで育み、培ってきた様々なアーカイブがところ狭しと並んでいます。本、ポスター、作品コレクション、続・朝鮮通信使等、日頃あまり観てもらうことのないおもちゃ箱のような世界を披露します。
