Life Skills Curriculum - Postcards of Kindness Friday 8th November saw Longdendale High School’s learners engage in the third of our Life Skills Curriculum drop down sessions. The whole school focus for this session was “Postcards of Kindness” – an initiative set up by AgeUK to help combat loneliness in older people living in care homes. The group has over 25,000 members across the country, who send small notes about their day to day life and their days out. This helps older people remember things that happened to them when they were younger and initiate conversation. Longdendale learners created amazing postcards of their own to send to the North-West based care home allocated to their tutor group. The sentiments they conveyed have really brought home the level of empathy and compassion out learners have for those in their community. We have already had a mention on social media from one of the care homes - so a HUGE well done to that Year 10 tutor group for getting straight off the mark with their delivery!

Life Skills Curriculum - Postcards of Kindness

Friday 8th November saw Longdendale High School’s learners engage in the third of our Life Skills Curriculum drop down sessions.
