Life of a Butterfly

It All Started From an Egg
The female butterfly attaches the egg to a leaf or stem.
The egg is yellow in color Its no bigger than a quarter
The Caterpillar chews free from the egg.
A baby caterpillar is always hungry.
The caterpillar eats so much that it must shed its skin.

The caterpillar has stripes and spots
Its body is covered with hair
Once the caterpillar is full grown, he turns into a chrysalis.
The pupa is protected in a silk cocoon.
The chrysalis or pupa cracks open and the butterfly come out into the world.
The wings harden before the butterfly can fly.
Butterflies have three main body parts:HeadThoraxAbdomen
Butterflies help pollinate plants.
