Styles(fashion hair ect.)

GRUNGE!!!! The biggest move of the nineties. It affected music, movies, hair styles and anything else you can imagine.

It originated in Oregon and Washington. The whole movement can be summarized in one word,

Nirvana. they were the biggest band and had much influence on the culture.

This was a time for flannel, plaid and grunge denim. Men had long hair and women wore what was popular that day, anything from a belly showing top to men’s t shirts and sweaters. Grunge was the thing

Fashion was to say the least not memorable. Big hair and dying your hair was also widely popular

Can you here them now?

The Goo Goo Dolls are more than just a one-hit wonder. The band’s success on the City of Angel’s soundtrack with "Iris" brought the group to the international rock scene but it was John Rzeznik’s strong vocals and open-string guitar sound that helped the band become one of the most memorable rock acts of the 90s.

The single greatest rock act of the 90s is no other than Nirvana. This band had everything—industry respect, critical acclaim, pop radio appeal, a rock-solid fan base—and any living, breathing human being would agree. Nirvana’s first hit single, "Smells Like Teen Spirit," became the anthem of the so-called

Generation X; almost a decade later, the song still receives considerable radio airplay. Nirvana’s members were Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl. Grohl went on to form his own band after the group disbanded following Cobain’s suicide

Important events

World Trade Center Is Bombed Friday, February 26, 1993 Suspected terrorists drove a car bomb into the basement of the World

Trade center in New York. 8 years late, September 11 takes place. The epicenter was the parking garage beneath the World Trade Center,

where a massive eruption carved out a nearly 100-foot crater several stories deep and several more high. Six people were killed almost instantly. Smoke and flames began filling the wound and streaming upward into the building. Those who weren’t trapped were soon pouring out of the building—many panic-stricken and covered in soot. More than a thousand people were hurt in some way, some badly, with crushed limbs.

This was important because it started paving the way to the war the United States is currently involved in. This killed many people and many more were injured.
