treatments e.g. accelerated cool ing, conventional water quenching and direct quenching as well as new testing methods all serve to secure high product quality.
Particular improvements have been made in levels of purity, tensile strength and tough ness of steels as well as in their processing behavior.
Plate from ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe is rolled on a state of the art 3.9 m four-high mill or cut from hot strip.
The production of plate at ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe is concentrated in Duisburg-Süd. Complete with extensive modernization and extension measures, this concentration into one plant has led to a clear improvement in plant efficiency and further in crea s es in quality thus forming the basis for finished pro ducts of the highest technological demands.
