Lick Creek Park is the premiere naturepreserve in College Station. The 515-acrepark, acquired in 1987, is located at 13600 EastRock Prairie Road approximately 1.5 milesfrom Greens Prairie Road. The park hasseveral cultural sites along with a greatdiversity of plant and animal life including theendangered Navasota Ladies Tresses.Approximately 3.5 miles of marked trailsprovide a unique opportunity for hiking,cycling, bird watching and equestrianactivities.

Equestrian users must obtain a permit and gatekey from the Parks and RecreationDepartment in advance. Horses and bicyclesare restricted to Post Oak Trail, Deer Run Trailand Iron Bridge Trail.

The park is open to visitors throughout the yearfrom dawn to dusk. No overnight camping ispermitted and visitors are reminded to watchfor snakes and to stay on the marked trails.Dogs may be leash-free but must be under“voice” control at all times. All plants andanimals are protected and should not beharmed or threatened.
