Smarty Pants Trivia Smackdown
When: Tuesday, September 06, 2016 8:00 PM Where: Chelsea Alehouse Brewery How does your knowledge of random trivia compare to your friends' and neighbors'? Round up a team of up to six people and join the Chelsea Library at the Chelsea Alehouse to test your trivia chops. After five rounds of trivia, the top two teams win prizes (and bragging rights). Free to participate-‐-‐ bring your library card to get bonus points! In partnership with the Chelsea Alehouse.
3D Printing/Scan Session 1
When: Wednesday, September 07, 2016 10:30 AM Where: Chelsea District Library at Learning Lab Join us for some 3D fun! Participants will receive hands-‐on help using either the 3D printer or 3D scanner to produce a physical or digital 3D object. You can search for preexisting designs
(thingiverse.com) or make your own (tinkercad.com, onshape. com). Two-‐hour sessions allow for one user, and include 1.5 hours to print or scan an object. There will be a printing cost of $0.10 per gram of filament used. Participants should plan to register two weeks prior to their requested session to ensure their project will be as successful as possible. For more information or to register please send an email to 3D@ chelseadistrictlibrary.org and include the following: 1) session date you would like, 2) an attachment containing your print object in STL format or an image of the object you wish to scan. Registration requests will be confirmed via email including session details. Session dates will be filled in the order they are received.

History of Michigan Apples
When: Wednesday, September 21, 2016 7:00 PM Where: Chelsea District Library at McKune Room Michigan Apples author Sharon Kegerreis will take you on the journey of the sweet apple as its seeds first rooted in 17 century Michigan and flourished along the Detroit River in the 1700s and 1800s. Seeds and cuttings traveled with the adventurous through uncultivated territory to provide essential food and drink in the form of cider, dried apples, and apple butter. Sharon will share historic anecdotes of settlements, apple discoveries and the rowdy 1840 hard cider campaign, and conclude with day-‐trip ideas for apple picking and sweet and hard cider sipping. Book signings and sales to immediately follow presentation.

Sculpture Walk Guided Tour
When: Sunday, September 25, 2016 2:00 PM Where: Chelsea District Library at Katie's Korner Meet in the library’s lobby for a docent-‐guided tour of the sculpture walk installations throughout downtown Chelsea. We’ll visit each location on the Sculpture Walk, sharing artists’ insights and encouraging group discussion along the way. Families and strollers welcome. The walk is roughly 1.5 miles and involves crossing the railroad tracks at Main St. In partnership with River Gallery.

In this workshop participants will be given an overview of both products. We will also discuss why users might buy one over the other. Participants may submit a question when they register for the workshop that we will try and address in the workshop.
