OUR STORY

OUR BELIEF
Music deserves to be heard.
Unaltered. Authentic. Memorable.
LEWITT has dedicated itself to supporting music aficionados, artists and
audio engineers around the globe in getting the best out of every single
creative idea and every project - with microphones that set new standards
in terms of sound quality, technology and reliability.
We know about the claim
for perfection that forms the basis of
every studio recording, every stage
performance, every voice recording. It
is the same claim for perfect ion
characterizing our products. We also
know that every voice is unique and are
passionate about emphasizing this
uniqueness with authentic, unaltered
sound.
LCT 340 // “I was immediately
impressed by those mics. I used
them as overheads on drums
in X /Y position and was really
surprised at how smooth they
sounded without losing the fullness
o f t h e c y m b a l s a n d e n t i r e
drum kit. I‘ve been tracking so
much drums lately that I don‘t
even want to touch them. I ’m
sure these microphones will be
with me for life.”
DTP 340 TT // “These mic’s are
great. I tried them on toms and
percussion and got awesome
results – great low end without
being muddy. I also loved the
clarity on them, they picked up
the attack of the drum really well.
I love a mic that gets the ‘smack’
on drums and that is exactly what
this mic does. They are definitely
in the same league with mic’s
three times there price.“
LCT 940 // “Now this one is like
a chameleon. I used it on Vocals
first and started in FET mode.
It had great presence without
being harsh. Later we were
recording a nylon acoustic guitar
on the 12th fret facing the center
of the hole and put it right in
the middle between Tube and
FET. Just sweet sounding, big
and full. This is my new favorite
microphone.”

Real studio performance onstage at
present, this can only be found in
LEWITT’s MTP Performance Series.
Meeting the highest standards onstage
and in the studio requires the world’s most
technically advanced, innovative and full-
featured handheld condenser microphone:
the new MTP 940 CM – a milestone of
audio technology.
The externally biased large-diaphragm
capsule of the MTP 940 CM lends the
lead voice the necessary presence in an
infinitely subtle, detailed and authentic
way. The source comes through clearly,
processed with impressive feedback
resistance and with undesired breath,
popping and handling noise reduced to a
minimum. The MTP 940 CM boasts a
135 dB dynamic range – the widest ever
achieved in a live microphone – due to its
high headroom and LEWITT’s own Direct
Coupling circuit design, which makes
possible an unbeatably low self-noise level
of just 9 dB. Thus the MTP 940 CM is
also ideal for use in the studio. Three
switchable polar patterns ease recording
of the most diverse sources. A three-step
high-pass filter makes it possible to
directly influence the proximity effect and
the three-position switchable attenuation
pad guarantees use even in extreme SPL
environments. LEDs that can be switched
off if desired, make checking the mic’s
numerous settings a direct and easy
matter even in the dark ensuring a fast and
trouble-free setup process.
For everyone who’s always dreamed of
taking their studio mic into their hands and
onstage, or of recreating a live atmosphere
in the studio at an uncompromising level
of quality, the MTP 940 CM is the only
right choice. With the optimal synergy
between versatility, innovation and sound
quality, it sets a new benchmark in the
world of high-end microphones.

lct 550
The LCT 550 is the fi rst and only large-diaphragm studio microphone ever to achieve 0 dB-A self-noise*, and thus the world’s quietest. That makes it possible to capture even extremely weak signals with great precision and detail.
The Austrian-developed LCT 550 sets new standards in terms of more than just self-noise. A dynamic range of 140 dB-A guarantees the best-possible results even in challenging settings. The three pre-attenuation levels (0 dB, -6 dB and -12 dB) increase maximum SPL to as high as 155 dB-A. The LCT 550 also offers a clipping history as well as an auto-attenuation mode that automatically switches to the next level of attenuation if the signal is too strong. For the elimination of structure-borne noise, there are two high-pass fi lters: 80 Hz, 12 dB/octave and 160 Hz, 6 dB/octave.
Manufacturing tolerances have been minimized thanks to highly precise calibration of the capsule and the electronics – which means that any two microphones from this series, set identically, will always form a matched pair at +/- 0 dB!
* 0dB-A electronics only, 3 dB-A according to IEC 60268-1 due to Brownian motion (in simple terms: the sound caused by the movement of air molecules ...)

DGt 650
The DGT 650 is meant to establish a new class in the USB microphone segment - and it’s got some serious points in its favor.
It supports ASIO for Windows and OS X Core Audio - and is also easily combined with iOS devices. To maximize its mobile abilities, it can be powered by a built-in lithium-ion battery. Other onboard features include an analog preamp, a switchable high-pass fi lter, two pre-attenuation settings and four different recording modes.
In stereo mode, the two condenser capsules provide a 90° XY stereo signal. Cardioid mode offers a cardioid pattern for recording speech or singing. In Singer/Songwriter mode, the DGT 650 can simultaneously put out both a mono signal and a line signal. For the stereo line-in mode, fi nally, there’s a stereo input that makes possible two-channel recording from a mixer or other line source. All of these modes allow the additional inclusion of a MIDI signal.
With a dynamic range that exceeds 110 dB-A, 24-bit resolution, high-quality accessories, and the unaltered, authentic sound that’s so typical of LEWITT, the DGT 650 can confi dently take its place at the top of the fi eld of currently available USB microphones.
