Long-term stability and guaranteed precision are essential requirements for level measurement devices. Regular calibration is particularly important for quality and safety - critical measuring points.

Calibration of level instruments

On-site calibration and system alignment Various measuring principles can be used to measure the level of liquids and bulk goods, depending on your requirements. Endress+Hauser offers 8 physical principles, each tailored to your application. The calibration and alignment options are as varied as the measuring principles. Parameterisation of the level measurement instrument is often undertaken during the commissioning phase. In the majority of cases this is sufficient, and is particularly simple for pre-aligned sensors. If level measurement instruments are to be recalibrated following an operational phase, this is often done by gauging the capacity of a container in liters, so there is no need to remove the device from the process. We can provide you with specific advice on this.

We also offer factory calibration at our in-house reference calibration centre,

Place of calibration On-site In the laboratory (at E+H)

Calibration range

Pressure using handpump, volumetric measurement with water or original

medium upon request, following technical clarification

Absolute measuring accuracy of 0.5 mm

Calibration method

By generation of a reference pressure or by tank contents measurement (emptying of tank via a standard

flowmeter)

By comparison to a laser or a target

Number of calibration points 1, 3, 5 points or other, as agreed 5 points
