Let’s make our town prosper

It is created by Kol’tsova Anastasiya – 11th grade

Uvarovo is located on the right bank of the river Vorona, which is very pure and picturesque. On the left bank of the river there is a big and beautiful forest. Our virgin nature, countryside, clean air and pure river make our town attractive for tourists.

The town gradually develops. The new modern railway station is constructed. Conditions for comfortable rest of citizens are created. There are a lot of parks, squares and fountains in the town. Soon the ice palace and cinema will open in Uvarovo.

A lot of holidays and festivals such as the cadet symphony, the biker show, Youth Day, Flag Day, the parade devoted to Victory Day are held in Uvarovo.

However our town needs some facilities to be a better tourist destination. It is rather difficult, because there aren’t good hotels, cafes, souvenir shops, couches, roads, night clubs and restaurants, equipped beaches and sports grounds in our town. Local authorities lack funds.

The first part of the project will be carried out on the territory of the former holiday village. The holiday village settles down in the wood on the river bank. There are necessary conditions for sports, tourism and quiet rest. But it is necessary to arrange well this territory: to clean the garbage, to cut down old trees and bushes, to plant flowers, to make the descent to water, to repair houses for guests and sports grounds.

I suggest creating a club of sports tourism for children and adults here. For this purpose it is necessary to buy the equipment and to make a beach. The holiday village will work in winter and in summer. People will go hiking, swimming, boating, float on a water ski, ride catamarans and bicycles in summer. Adults and children will be able to ski and ride from the hills, build snow fortresses and snowmen in the winter. Also I suggest to create a scout camp here. The holiday village will become an excellent vacation spot for hunters and fishers, carrying out meetings of tourists from all countries and bard festivals.

The second part of the project will be called the Russian village. The village will consist of wooden houses, a church, smithy, swabs,

café and floor space. Guests of the village will be able to learn about the life of last generations and try a role of a smith or a baker, for example.

You can learn how Slavs lived, what they wore and what they ate.

Children and domestic animals.

There will be attractions for children in the village.

You will be able to cook Russian food, for example pelmeni.

People dressed in Russian national costumes will be everywhere.

There will be even a potter's wheel. Tourists can try to make a clay pot or a jug!

You can taste tea from the Russian samovar with cheese, cakes and pancakes.

Also fisticuffs and fights on sabers will be held there.

You can make a photo for memory!

After horse walk in the open air and the dramatized representation you are waited by a nourishing dinner.

So, we defined the goals of the project. Now it is necessary to find volunteers who will be engaged in the development and implementation of this project. I think members of the different organizations of our town with enthusiasm will begin the realization of this project. Working groups will form to develop different aspects of the plan. For example, they should think about placement of tourists. For this purpose it is possible to create some guest houses (boards) in the town. And a tourism company will employ to assess its financial viability. A company will form to run the financial side of the business. The next step will secure the capital needed to start the project. The working group should apply to the local authorities for the grant.

Project advantages:a) The project will be environmentally friendly and will

develop in the union with the nature.b) It does require investment for purchase of the sports

equipment for the holiday village and the Russian village construction. But this sum is much less than the sum which was required for Eden project creation for example.

c) This project will create a lot of new workplaces in the city.

d) In my opinion this project will attract all groups of tourists. The holiday village will draw attention of youth and families with children. And the Russian village will become the favorite tourist destination for elderly and people who prefer quiet family rest to outdoor activities.

e) The project will attract new investors in our town. This project will allow residents to develop cultural and physically. The Russian village will be the center of national trades and crafts. Everyone will be able to buy something necessary here.
