Relaunch on Moodle in Sept. 2014. As of Feb. 2015:• >800 enrolments • >100 completions with full marks in quizzes• >400 responses on feedback forms

Huge amount of positive feedback:• “I thought that it was quick, easy and efficient

to use with precise guidelines and a step by step guide to help.”

• “I found it very informative and it has given me good insight into the different sources and ways to gather information.”

Plenty of constructive feedback:• “Too much information that isn't necessary.”• “A bit too wordy. Difficult to maintain focus.”• “…more/tougher questions could be

considered, to really stimulate thought.”• “would be better if more interactive”

Redesign principles• Redesign as a tutorial, rather than a manual– Each section should be digestible in one sitting– Don’t cover anything you can’t expect students to

retain• But don’t fix what isn’t broken
