We want to encourage the entire nation to join the conversation about organ donation and help save and improve more lives in the future. But we can’t do that without the help of our valued partners. This activation toolkit is designed to help you help us. It has everything you need to get people talking about organ donation.

To help us create a big bang at the start of National Transplant Week, please don’t share any of the campaign information or assets until 7th September.

A third of people who wish to donate their organs haven’t told their family and friends. Share your decision now so it doesn’t go to waste.

82% of the population definitely want to donate or would consider donating their organs. But only 50% have talked about it with their family, and it is family members who will ultimately need to agree to organ donation going ahead.

So, this National Transplant Week we are running a nationwide, integrated campaign to get people talking about organ donation – 7 Days To Say Yes I Donate. We’ll prompt people to show their support for organ donation, speak up about their reasons for doing so, and in turn encourage others to do the same.

It’s in your handsWe want as many people to be involved as possible. We’re asking you to support National Transplant Week – 7 Days To Say Yes I Donate through your website, newsletters, social media, internal comms, and any other on and offline channels you may have. This toolkit contains everything you need to show your support, help us create a buzz and get your employees and customers talking about organ donation.

TIMELINE

TIMELINEHere is a suggestion of how to time your activity throughout National Transplant Week.

7-13 September

We are keen to launch with a bang on the 7th September. After this, keep up momentum by flooding your channels with National Transplant Week content to keep the conversation going, finishing with a last push to engage your audience through to the end. If you need any assets resized, please just get in touch with [email protected]

After National Transplant week

Our work continues beyond September 2015: over the next five years we aim to deliver a revolution in public behaviour in relation to organ donation so that attitudes change and people will be proud to donate, when and if they can, in order to save and improve more lives. In particular we want to: • increase the number of people on the organ

donor register• stimulate conversations and debate about donation• and present donation as a benefit to families in

end-of-life and grieving processes

We are keen to develop long term, strategic, integrated partnerships in order to achieve this so do get in touch to discuss further.

Email and newsletter copy

Why not add an article about National Transplant Week to your newsletter? Or send an email to all your employees? You can use the website copy as a starting point – but the more personal the better, so feel free to amend.
