● Through this project:
○ students were caring not only for the earth, but also for
those who inhabit it.
○ students were taught that they have been blessed with the
education and resources to improve the lives of others, and it
is their responsibility to try to do so.
Let There be Light is
● multidisciplinary project,
● Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry and
Physics,
● working collaboratively with students and faculty at St.
Mary’s Junior Seminary in the village of Visiga, Tanzania
● working collaboratively to build a microbial fuel cell that
would create enough light for someone to read by
Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC)
