Step 1= • The children visit the olive grove and the oil mill;
Step 2: The children listen to the story “Federico and the
olive” . Step 3. The children dramatize the story and repeat the sentences. Step 4: The children draw the farmer’s tools used during the process of transformation from olive to oil. Step 5: pupils use their drawings to create flashcards Step 6: Games with the flashcards to remember the new words Step 7. Creation of a memory game with the tools’drawing Step 8:The children of kindergarten and primary school meet to play together a memory game, to reinforced new vocabolary
Final Product Videos, Memory Games, flash cards, posters, Plays Assessment self-assessment grids All the activities will be developed with students in the partner schools and adjusted to the needs, interests, age and linguistic competence of the learners. PICTURE 1 Once upon a time there was a boy who was playing in the garden. His ball got stuck on an olive tree and while the boy was trying to catch it, he heard a tiny voice calling him. PICTURE 2 Olive: Hello! I’m an olive. What’s your name? Boy: Hello! My name is Federico. Federico and the olive became friends. PICTURE 3 One day the farmer arrived with his tools to pick up the olives. He had a rake, a big net and a plastic box. Federico: Oh no…don’t leave me! Please stay! Olive: Don’t worry Federico! We’ll meet soon! PICTURE 4 The olive was squeezed in the millstone and it became oil. PICTURE 5 One day Federico met his friend the olive on a slice of toast bread. Federico’s mother: Bruschetta is ready! Olive: Hello Federico, here I am! Federico: Mmm…olive oil…delicious!!!
