Hamirpur(HP) Grade Level / Subject Area : EVS class 4th Time allotted for lesson: one hour Short Description of Lesson and planning parameters: It is a lesson about balance diet and its composition on neutrients.Carbohydrate, protein, vitamins, minerals, fats and sugar etc. gave been highlighted with their sorce and usage for health.The description of their value for human haealth has been highlighted by me through use of flash cards in power point presentation.The laptop is to be used in the classroom for the purpose but to support the hindi language, charts have been taken for the assistance.Bilingual work has been done for the help of students who will study science,social science and mathematics in English medium in class 6 th in the attached institution i.e. GHS Loharali,Block-Bijhari,Tehsil Barsar,Distt. Hamirpur (HP) Classroom layout and grouping of students The students will sit in a crescedental pos tion in the classroom to enjoy the view of laptop, charts and get participation in the group discussion to be organized during the classroom teaching and activity process. State Curriculum Standards As Himachal Pradesh School Shiksha Board and DPEP mission has prepared the textbooks , the standard of Environment Science enables us to find a relevant topic and content regarding balance diet.It is under the upscaling and ascending order from class 1 st to 4 th .As the introduction towards vegetables,fruits ,drinks start from class 1 st , thechildren can learn the balance diet related knowledge in the standard where we are trying to aware them about it.Mid day meal scheme in HP has also been significant in this regard where menu making is very important in perspect of neutritional needs of children.Hence,curriculum standards are satisfactory.

Mathod: discussion,lecture and demonstration
The teacher will introduce name of some fruits and vegetables through the demo of a cd. It
will display the names of 18 fruits and 18 vegetables to them.Now,ythey will be given a
chance totell the names of the fruits and vegetables which were new for them. Now, the
discussion will be carrued in the group about their benefits for human health.Now,
discussion will turn towards mid day meal and its value to the heath of students.When they
will reach towards the concept of energy and force, teacher will direct their attentiontowards various cerals,fruits and vegetables which give us energy and neutrition.Now,the
cocept of carbohydrates, vitamins,proteins, minerals,fats etc will be delvered as below

They should make healthy foodlook and taste better, then morepeople will want to eat it.
I think that healthy foods shouldbe made more appealing to kidsand really unhealthy foods shouldbe made more expensive so thatpeople don't want to waste theirmoney on it.
I think that celebrities shouldstart advertising healthier foodbecause lots of children copywhat they do. I also think thatschools should do more P.E aslots of children don't exercisewhen they're outside of school.
