Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs• Born in Russia• Came to America as an immigrant• This model is built upon the perception that

some needs take precedence over others.• The animal or physical needs were placed

at the bottom and the human needs at the top.• Each level of the pyramid is some what

dependent on the previous level for most people.• People behave in ways to satisfy their

need(s).
