High-rise – building with many stories
Open-ended – something is not final
Drive-in – place where people get served while in their cars
Troubleshoot – attempt to eliminate problems
Solar energy – energy from the sun
Know-how – means “expertise”
Low-key – something is played down
Getaway – an exit
Health club – place with exercise equipment
Life span – length of your life
Antagonist- someone who opposes another; an adversary
Detriment- disadvantage; a loss
Drone- to speak in a monotonous tone
Drudgery- tedious, wearisome work
Horizontal- parallel to the horizon; level
Hypocrite- person who does not practice the beliefs or opinions that he or she professes
Insubordinate- defiant to authority; disobedient; rebellious
Mentor- a wise, trusted counselor or advisor
