parliament and into law.
Almost all criminal cases are heard at
the Magistrates Court (18+). There is at least one of
these in each town of England and
Wales. They can sentence up to 6
months imprisonment or fine up to £5000
More serious crimes are heard
at the Crown Court
Youth Courts deal with cases where someone between the ages of 10 &
17 is accused of a crime
