Layers - Photoshop documents are composed of layers, which can basically be described as single transparent sheets which hold particular pieces of an image.

Crop/Cropping – trimming an image or cutting irrelevant objects around the image to give more focus or attention.

Pixel - A pixel is generally thought of as the smallest single component of a digital image.  The term "pixels" can be used as a unit of measure, in particular when using pixels as a measure of resolution.

Sharpen – To make an image more clearer and cleaner.

Compress – In Photoshop it is used to resize or change the image size to be more desirable and usable.

A. Create a folder for saving a file. - first create a folder with your complete name. - Then inside this folder, create four folder with the

following name: Adobe Photoshop, Desktop Publishing, AutoCAD and Internet/ Web Page.

B. Open your Adobe Photoshop and create a new image document with a name Activity 1 image, size of 11height x 8.5width, resolution 72.

- Click the Brush tool in the Tool Panel - Change the brush in the options bar by clicking the arrow

down and choose soft round. - Change the color in the color foreground at the bottom of

the tools panel. - Go to the Document window and click and drag to draw. Create your own drawing. - Save your image in your adobe photoshop folder, with the

filename activity 1 (your name)
