• Cut one 5 ½” square.• Cut two 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut twenty 3 ½” squares.

• Cut one 3” x WOF strip. Sub-cut eight 3” squares.• Cut eight 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (160) 2” squares.

• Cut one 5 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut four 5 ½” squares.• Cut seven 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut eighty 3 ½” squares.• Cut eight 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

• Cut two 2” x 22 ½” WOF strips.• Cut one 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut two 2” x 19 ½” strips.

• Cut four 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut two 2” x 75 ½” strips.• Cut four 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut two 2” x 72 ½” strips.• Cut two 1 ½” x 24 ½” WOF strips.• Cut two 1 ½” x 22 ½” WOF strips.

• Cut two 3” x WOF strips. Sub-cut sixteen 3” squares.• Cut one 2 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut four 2 ½” x 5 ½” strips.• Cut one 2 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut four 2 ½” x 7 ½” strips.• Cut sixteen 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (320) 2” squares.• Cut seven 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut eighty 2” x 3 ½” strips.• Cut ten 2” x WOF strips. Block Assembly1. Place one 3” Fabric E square on the top left corner of one 5 ½” x 7 ½” Fabric C rectangle, right sides together (Fig. 1). Sew across the diagonal of the small square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 1). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 2). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam.

2. Follow Figure 3 for seam direction to add a 3” Fabric E square to the upper right corner and a 3” Fabric B square to both the lower left and right corners of the 5 ½” x 7 ½” Fabric C rectangle to make one Unit 1 block (Fig. 4).

3. Repeat Steps 1-2 to make (4) Unit 1 blocks total.

4. Place one 3” Fabric E square on the bottom left corner of one 5 ½” Fabric D square, right sides together. Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam.

5. Follow Figure 5 for the seam direction to add a 3” Fabric E square to the upper right corner of the 5 ½” Fabric D square to make one Unit 2 block (Fig. 5).

6. Repeat Steps 4-5 to make (4) Unit 2 blocks total.

7. Sew one 2 ½” x 5 ½” Fabric E strip to the top of one Unit 2 block. Sew one 2 ½” x 7 ½” Fabric E strip to the left side of the Unit 2 block to make one Unit 3 block (Fig. 6). Repeat to make (4) Unit 3 blocks total.

8. Sew one Unit 3 block to each side of one Unit 1 block, paying attention to the orientation of the blocks, to make the top block row. Repeat to make the bottom block row. Sew one Unit 1 block to each side of one 5 ½” Fabric A square to make the middle block row. Sew the three rows together to make one Unit 4 block (Fig. 7).

Quilt Top Assembly (Follow the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top.)14. Sew one 1 ½” x 22 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew one 1 ½” x 24 ½” Fabric G strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

15. Center one 12 ½” x 52” Fabric H strip on one side of the Center Block and pin in place. Start sewing the strip a ¼” from the top edge of the block and stop a ¼” from the bottom edge. DO NOT TRIM THE EXCESS. Repeat with the opposite side.

9. Sew one 2” x 19 ½” Fabric F strip to each side of the Unit 4 block. Sew one 2” x 22 ½” Fabric F strip to the top and to the bottom of the Unit 4 block to make the Center Block (Fig. 8).

10. Repeat Steps 1-2 using eighty 3 ½” x 5” Fabric C rectangles, (160) 2” Fabric E squares and (160) 2” Fabric B squares to make eighty Unit 5 blocks (Fig. 9).

11. Repeat Steps 4-5 using eighty 3 ½” Fabric D squares and (160) 2” Fabric E squares to make eighty Unit 6 blocks (Fig. 10).

12. Sew one 2” x 3 ½” Fabric E strip to the top of one Unit 6 block. Sew one 2” x 5” Fabric E strip to the left side of the Unit 6 block to make one Unit 7 block (Fig. 11). Repeat to make eighty Unit 7 blocks total.

13. Sew one Unit 7 block to each side of one Unit 5 block, paying attention to the orientation of the blocks, to make the top block row. Repeat to make the bottom block row. Sew one Unit 5 block to each side of one 3 ½” Fabric A square to make the middle block row. Sew the three rows together to make one Block One square (Fig. 12). Repeat to make twenty Block One squares total.

18. Sew four Block One squares together. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew one strip to each side of the Center Block.

19. Sew six Block One squares together. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew one strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

20. Sew one 2” x 72 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew one 2” x 75 ½” Fabric G strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

21. Layer and quilt as desired.

22. Sew the eight 2 ½” x WOF Fabric D strips together, end-to-end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press

23. Bind as desired.

16. Repeat Step 15 to sew one 12 ½” x 52” Fabric H strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block, making sure to stop and start ¼” away from each end of the block. To miter each corner, fold the Center Block on a diagonal, wrong side together. This should line up the strips from adjacent sides (Fig. 13).

17. Starting at the sewn seam (represented by the arrow in Figure 13), draw a 45-degree line to the edge of the fabric. Sew on the drawn line. Trim the excess fabric leaving a ¼” seam. Repeat this step with the remaining corners.
