Les Crabes Terribles Pitch

PROJECT INFORMATION

This short film is called “Les Crabes Terribles”. It is an

obscure, quirky romantic comedy which focuses

around Harry, whose dinner date plans suddenly take

a turn for the worse when he discovers he’s caught

crabs from his “friend with benefits”, Paige. What then

follows is a frantic race against time where Harry must

rectify his “issue” before his date arrives.

Style :

British comedy has a lovely way of making the most stressful

situation funny. Its build to a hilarious finale is what gives it a

great reputation. From Faulty towers to Mrs Browns Boys, the fast

passed style of cutting allows for a good build up to the finale.

The script combines Cringe comedy with prop comedy allowing

for great shots between actors and the objects they use.

Sometimes it is just right in front of you, so stop searching.

When you think the world is going to end tomorrow will come.

DARCY (27 YEARS OLD)

Darcy is a working professional. She is stylish, beautiful and sophisticated. Darcy is well traveled and has moved to England from France. Slight French accent.

HARRY (30 YEARS OLD)

Harry is an all rounded good guy. He is good looking and in good shape. He has a good job in marketing and lives in a modern flat. He presents himself very well and considers himself a ladies man.

PAIGE (25 YEARS OLD)

Paige is a fun loving Londoner. She has a strong and confident personality and speaks her mind. She is young and is still finding her way in her career.

JENNY (20 YEARS OLD)

Jenny is an ethnic youth. She has just finished her studying and is now working as an intern in a pharmacy. She clearly finds her job very boring and displays a lack of professionalism.

MR PLISKIN (40 YEARS OLD)

Pliskin is a pharmacist. On the outside he looks very traditional, but he has seen it all, when it comes to his job. Pliskin says things how they are and doesn’t sugar coat his advice.

CINDY (25 YEARS OLD)

Cindy is Paige’s friend, she is drunk and bubbly. She has a loud personality and embarrasses herself without shame.
