Here are some of the comments: “I didn’t know how much I didn’t know about the Old Testament”. “I like the way stories I learned as a child are presented in a new, fresh way”. “It’s so good to see our Church in God’s Word and to hear families reading and praying together”. As a Church, we have to be happy and excited about the way our peo- ple have goen involved in The Story. If you haven’t yet, would you allow us to give you a few ideas on how you can get involved— 1. Read this week’s chapter, The Bale Begins. 2. Take down any significant notes or quesons that arise in you, based on your reading. 3. Bring those quesons and notes to a Sunday School class or to a Wednesday night Bible study. 4. Start some family devoons or prayer me with your family on this week’s teaching. 5. Response to The Story
We have been getting lots of good responses from our people regard-ing The Story. Here are some of the comments: “I didn’t know how much I didn’t know about the Old Testament”.
“I like the way stories I learned as a child are presented in a new, fresh way”.
“It’s so good to see our Church in God’s Word and to hear families reading and praying together”.
As a Church, we have to be happy and excited about the way our peo-ple have gotten involved in The Story. If you haven’t yet, would you allow us to give you a few ideas on how you can get involved— 1. Read this week’s chapter, The Battle Begins.
2. Take down any significant notes or questions that arise in you, based on your reading.
3. Bring those questions and notes to a Sunday School class or to a Wednesday night Bible study.
4. Start some family devotions or prayer time with your family on this week’s teaching.
5. Catch any teachings or messages you’ve missed at leroychristianchurch.org

DECISION’s CLASS Sunday, October 19 - 9:15 a.m.
Led by Jeff Mayfield in his office. This is a new Sunday School class for anyone who is thinking about being baptized or transferring their membership to LCC. This class will simply share what the Bible says
about making a decision to follow Christ and what the scriptures say about baptism. This is not a “high-pressure” event—it is more like a “we’ll report—YOU decide” kind
of experience. If you want to RSVP us at [email protected], that would be great for
planning purposes, or otherwise just show up Sunday morning. ____________________

FOOD PANTRY NEWS The Food Pantry was closed on Monday, September 29 (5th Sunday). We served 20 fami-
lies on October 6. The Pantry has been very blessed the past couple of weeks! The Student Council of LeRoy High School sponsored a food drive to celebrate
LHS Homecoming and they brought in LOTS of food! We never cease to be amazed by all the donations!

THANK YOU! We would like to thank everyone who came to our 50th anniversary reception, sent cards, or stopped us to wish us a happy anniversary. We especially want to thank our four children, Alex, Elizabeth, Brian, and Becky and their spouses, our grand-children, my sister, my niece, and great-niece for all their hard work and making
the day so special. We have been blessed through the years with great examples of Christian couples in
our family, in the Church here, and in Churches we have served. God has truly blessed us!
