AnemometerLeonardo Da Vinci is thought to be the first person to have an idea of measuring a speed of wind with an easy way. Anemometer is used before the plane takes off to measure the speed of wind.So it gets easier to predict the way you should take off.

FLIGHT MACHINEHe was first person to try the machine which would allow person to fly. He invented deltaplane which inspired wright brothers(who invented plane) and nowadays everyone believes that Da Vinci had first works on flight machine project.

helicopterDa Vinci also tried to create a thing which will also make person available to fly and he called his invention aerial screw. This project was not fully made because it lacked information about how it would operate but this project also was the inspiration for many scientists.

ParachuteAlso parachute works were written by Leonardo. It uses the air volume to be extended and it doesn’t fall it floats on the air and comes down slowly.

33 BARRELED GUNIn the times when Leonardo was living there was just cannons and it took long to reload so he invented a machine which had 33 small-caliber guns connected together so it could fire and reload together. Now machine gun structure is based on it.

Armoured CarIt was the best-known war invention of Da Vinci. It allowed to move on every direction and it had some light cannons around it and also had a sighting turret to coordinate how to fire the cannons.

This was one of the main ideas behind many of Da Vinci’s war inventions – among them, his giant crossbow. Designed for pure intimidation, Da Vinci’s crossbow was to measure 27 yards across. The device would have six wheels for mobility, and the bow itself would be made of thin wood for flexibility.

Robotic KnightWith his engineering mind, Leonardo Da Vinci had many ideas that employed the use of pulleys, weights and gears. Certainly, these three components were crucial to many of his automated inventions - including his versions of the clock, air conditioner and hydraulic power saw.Da Vinci also used these mechanisms into his self-propelled cart invention, which many people consider the very first robot. But Da Vinci used the parts to create another robot too – his Robotic Knight. Though a full drawing of Da Vinci’s robotic knight has never been recovered, fragments detailing different aspects of the knight have been found scattered throughout his notebooks.

Self-Propelled CartBefore motorized vehicles were even a glimmer in someone’s eye,

Leonardo Da Vinci designed a self-propelled cart capable of moving without being pushed. Among its other accomplishments, many consider Da Vinci self-propelled cart invention to be the world’s first robot. The self-propelled cart was one of the many inventions that Leonardo created dealing with locomotion and transportation. Historians later deduced that Da Vinci specifically designed the cart for theatrical use.
