Today was a great day that gave my daughter, granddaughter Gabby and myself the opportunity to help, watch and admire her doing such a great job selling lemonade at Fred Meyers. She is a special 5 year old! :-) - Linda

What Participants are Saying

Lemonade Day was AWESOME.  Our kids did excellent.  Made enough to pay back their investors (mom and dad) and still made enough to share with St. Judes, and still have some to spare.  The best part?  Jaeden saying “mom, I sure appreciate that you work that hard every day!”  Love them!  The entrepreneurial spirit is still alive, as he’d like to go to school to learn how to run a corporate business. - Eileen

It was awesome! We had 5 students set up a stand outside of Savage Memorial Church in the students’ neighborhood, and they raised an amazing $94.37 (mostly in tips ;)! However, the truly amazing thing is that the team decided to donate 100% of the funds to our Nepali Earthquake Relief Penny Drive, which ended today! They are such an awesome group of students, super inspiring. - Amanda

I had so much fun building my lemonade stand with my Dad, and painting it with my mom. My mom and I tried several recipes for fresh squeezed lemonade tool we found the right one squeezing lemons was a ton of work. We used wooden pallets that someone gave us to build the stand and paint that we had My grandma loaned me $40.00 for cups, suckers, balloons and ingredients. For my theme we did an old time mustache theme, my slogan was "You mustache this lemonade." it was really funny and fun. I just couldn't wait for the day to arrive, so when it did I was so excited I set up my stand Downtown in front of my dad's business on the corner of Court and Commercial st. I had a lot of customers, they were very happy to try my lemonade and said it tasted good, it made me feel good that they liked it, and my stand. My friends came by and helped me so I paid them because they were my employees that way I could take a bathroom break and lunch break. We worked hard all day and it paid off I made a lot of money that I gave some to my friends paid my grandma back and put some into my college fund and spent a little at the store for a toy. It was such a great experience I learned a lot about customer service, and having a job I can't wait to do this again thank you for this day! - Logan

Dear Sponsors, Donors, Mentors, and Friends,

If you’re not careful while putting together an event like Lemonade Day your focus can be shifted to the myriad tasks that add up to execute this event. But it only takes one email, one phone call or one encounter with a participant to remind you what this is all about...THE KIDS.

The kids this year did an amazing job. Once again they surprised us by the amount of money they made and how much of that was given to charity. We were also delighted to see our participant demographic get even younger as we spread out from Salem this year to Portland and Eugene.

Lemonade Day would not exist without the support of our sponsors, partners, mentors, and parents. You are helping ensure a bright future here in Oregon.

THANK YOU!

Chip Conrad, PresidentCenter for Entrepreneurial Education and Development
