Was officially launched as the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy,
missionTo provide opportunities for theeducation and training of next generation of Asian policymakers and leaders, with the objective of raising the standards of governance throughout the region, improving the lives of the people in the region and, in so doing, contribute to the transformation of Asia

IPS joined the School on 1 January 2008.
It was set up in 1988 as an independent, national think-tank focussing on the research and analysis of Singapore’s public policies, to contribute to policy development in Singapore, to build bridges between the various stakeholders including government, business, academia and civil society and to generate a greater awareness of policy issues amongst the wider community.
