Encouraging transit trade, cooperation in custom regulations, including a list of tariff exemptions (mainly agriculture, animal)
Encouraging economic and development projects between the 2 countries Exchanging Products
Facilitating capital movement and payments between both countries
Facilitating relations between KSA and Lebanon and working toward find solutions to any problem they might encounter

GAFTA was declared within the Social and Economic Council of the Arab League as an executive program to activate the Trade Facilitation and Development Agreement that has been in force since January 1st, 1998. The GAFTA includes in its membership 17 Arab countries
This was set for establishing the Arab Free Trade Area (AFTA)
The AFTA applies to products as follows: Agriculture and Animal products (Chapters 1 to 24), whether in their raw or processed form

This project involves the reconstruction of theformer Summerland Hotel in Beirut covering a totalbuilt area of 65,000 sqm. Managed by the international chain Kempinski Hotels, the resort will consist of a five-star hotel, restaurants and retail stores, in addition to a health club, marina and other outdoor facilities.
