ment, and she is Idaho's first African-American legislator. Afifth-generation Idahoan, Cherie is the principal of a success-ful coaching and consulting business and a respected voicein Idaho's business community. Her experience spans multi-ple disciplines, in a variety of roles with both corporate andsmall business enterprises. She also is a nationally recog-nized keynote speaker, consultant, coach and communityleader. Buckner-Webb has also been focused on improvingIdaho's economy and adding good-paying jobs. Encouraginginput from the business community, she recognizes that toattract business, the state must offer a well-trained pool ofapplicants. This means investing in public schools, higher ed-ucation and workforce training programs, and Cherie hasbeen a tireless proponent of improving all three. In 2014, shealso supported the Hire Idaho Act, a bill that would havegiven Idaho companies preference against out-of-state com-panies when bidding on state government contracts. Cherieis also a leading voice in the fight against discrimination inIdaho. She is the co-sponsor of legislation to "Add theWords," which aims to end legalized discrimination againstIdahoans because of gender identity and/or sexual orienta-tion. Cherie has also been a strong ally on issues concerningwomen's rights and continues to promote fair treatment forall. Her leadership also extends into the non-profit sector.She is the founding board member of the Idaho Black HistoryMuseum in Boise and has won numerous awards for her pub-lic service. After six years in busi-ness, the company has expanded its reach by opening a sec-ond production facility and tasting room in the heart ofdowntown Boise, which functions as its main office and head-quarters.

Clark KrauseExecutive DirectorBoise Valley Economic Development PartnershipClark Krause has been the Executive Di-rector of the Boise Valley EconomicPartnership (BVEP) since 2010. In thattime, Clark has been instrumental increating a new mission based on meas-urable and accountable actions andgoals. In the past six-plus years, the or-ganization has welcomed 23 compa-nies and over 4,300 jobs to the BoiseMetro. Clark has been on dozens of national sales missionspromoting the Boise Valley to companies and site consult-ants, built a marketing program and public relations out-reach, and actively advocates for local and statewideprograms that will jumpstart economic-based job growth. Hewas also instrumental in helping pass two new state incen-tives: the Idaho Opportunity Fund and the Tax Reimburse-ment Incentive. Clark's knowledge of state incentiveprograms has helped Idaho become a nationally competitiveplayer in economic development. Clark’s team created “Grow.Ideas. Here.”, an initiative that launched in 2014 to assistlocal Boise Metro companies attract new workforce talent. In2017, Clark redesigned the organization, strategically addingtwo workforce talent experts to the team; BVEP is nowuniquely positioned to help companies grow workforce talentin the next decade. An organization dedicated to helping thecommunity grow, find and keep the talent needs of the future.Clark came to BVEP with a strong history and experience ineconomic development, spending seven years as Presidentand CEO of the New Mexico Partnership. During his tenureat the New Mexico Partnership, Clark and his team weretasked with out of state recruitment of economic-based jobsinto New Mexico. Dr. Robert W. KustraPresidentBoise State UniversityDr. Bob Kustra has led a trans-formation that has turned BoiseState into a metropolitan re-search university of distinction.In 2016, Boise State was offi-cially designated a Carnegie doc-toral research university — agoal of Dr. Kustra’s since he wasappointed president in 2003.Harnessing the creativity andcan-do attitude that Boise Statefootball famously exhibited inthree Fiesta Bowl wins, Dr. Kus-tra continues to challenge our campus community to reimag-ine and reinvent the higher education experience to betterprepare our students to take their place in the workplace oftoday and tomorrow. The latest example is the College of In-novation and Design, providing new cross-disciplinary ma-jors and courses designed to build the skills employersdemand, while incubating the most innovative and excitingideas facing Boise State and higher education today. The cam-pus community has changed dramatically with increases inthe number of full time students, the academic profile of in-coming students, the number of out-of-state students, and afocus on maintaining a vibrant undergraduate atmosphereand experience. Boise State now confers more than 46 per-cent of all bachelor’s degrees awarded by Idaho public col-leges and universities and has also more than doubled itsgraduate offerings. It is now the largest graduate college inIdaho. Boise State’s campus has expanded considerably inDr. Kustra’s tenure. After nearly $400 million in capital devel-opment, the university now boasts state-of-the art multidis-ciplinary buildings, high-tech classrooms, clean rooms andlaboratories, and cutting-edge facilities for the arts, businessand economics, engineering, science, public policy and more.The University recently broke ground on an innovative andiconic Center for Fine Arts and planning is underway for theMicron Center for Materials Research, enabled by a $25 mil-lion donation from the Micron Foundation. Before coming toIdaho, Dr. Kustra had a long and distinguished career in pub-lic service in Illinois, serving two terms as lieutenant gover-nor, and 10 years in the Illinois legislature, where he served

in leadership. He chaired the Illinois Board of Higher Educa-tion, responsible for funding and oversight of the state’s ninepublic universities. He served as president of the MidwesternHigher Education Commission and president of Eastern Ken-tucky University. Peter O’NeillFounder & PrincipalO’Neill Enterprises, LLCPeter is the founder of O'Neill Enter-prises LLC. In his role as chief advisorfor strategic planning, Pete is active inidentifying potential land acquisitionopportunities and providing experienceinsight into the viability of potentialO'Neill Enterprises projects. He wasborn and raised in Chappaqua, NewYork, and received his B.A. degree fromDartmouth College in 1959. His first job was as a sales engi-neer for ALCOA from 1959-1963. O'Neill has been active in community affairs, havingserved on the boards of a number of community entities in-cluding Fundsy, The Greater Boise Area Chamber of Com-merce, the Boise Metro Economic Development Council, TheChildren's Home/Warm Springs Center, the Boise FuturesFoundation, Bogus Basin and Bogus Basin Ski Racing Al-liance.
