LEADERS FoundationLEADERS Romania is committed to the development of responsible, capable and innovative young leaders who will work for the progress of all members of the society. Our objective is to build the capacity of the Romanian society by developing the leadership component in young decision-makers who will live in the society they are building and who are most capable of embracing the change, the attitudes and the tools required for a successful reform.

Leadership SchoolLeadership School Vision | Objectives | Target

VisionThe Leadership School Program is a LEADERS Foundation’s initiative which followed the Authentic Leadership Program. It’s a unique event for exceptional young people for whom performance is a reference point.

Developed as a camp, localized in Romania’s isolated areas, far away from urban civilization, Leadership School is a great opportunity for interaction between the young participants and the guest speakers and also it’s the best environment to develop stable synergies between them.

ObjectivesOne of the main goals of this action is providing theories and concrete leadership examples which should contribute significantly to the participant’s education and development as future leaders in the Romanian society. Our vision regarding this program is also to develop a network of young leaders who subsequently will be able to coordinate their efforts in order to determine the progress of the whole society.

TargetStudents, graduates and juniors from companies aged between 18 and 25, from economical and technical domain, youngsters with leadership potential who aim for personal development.

Leadership SchoolLeadership School Structure

During 5 days the participants will be exposed to academic content and training in leadership matter, will have access to the Leadership School mentors, will meet authentic leaders form the business environment and also from the civil society, they will meet one of Romania’s heroes ( such as Raed Arafat), they will overcome their limits through business development simulations and they will definitely benefit of the best team building activities.

TrainingsThe participants from the Leadership School Program will benefit from trainings provided by specialized leadership coaches, management, stress management, emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence and so on.

Role ModelsAside from the theoretical part we propose to bring at the event authentic leaders, people who make themselves followed every day, real examples which might have a great influence on the participants.

Business Simulations: Because every pathway is unpredictable, with multiple critical situations, we will challenge the Leadership School participants to put forward their leadership, project management, and time management qualities, developing for them some unexpected tasks during the 5 days.

Team Building:It’s very important that during the 5 days the 30 participants should work as a team. Thus, through the team building sessions we manage to unite them and to facilitate the communication between them.

Leadership Summer School 2008Leadership Summer School is program’s first edition and it took place in August between 3rd – 8th 2008, under the High Patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania.

It reunited 32 exceptional young people who, during the 5 days met leaders form the business environment such as: Alexandru Badulescu, Country Director Romania & Bulgaria, Western Union, Mihai Tudor, General Director, IBM, Cristian Oros, Country Manager, Abbott Laboratories, Marius Stefan, Managing Partner Autonom Rent a Car, Vasile Paun, Managing Partner, intellCompetitiv, Catalin Ile, General Director, Ibis Hotels; art domain’s representatives such as the famous actor Maia Morgenstern, medicine representatives like Raed Arafat, Founder of SMURD ( Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication). Remarkable presences at Leadership Summer School were also Laurentiu Chirita, Capitan-Comandor at the Romanian Air Forces and Ioan Mihalache, Colonel at IGSU (General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations).

Everything was completed by a unique 6m high team building experience in Adventure Park from Brasov and a fire alarm simulation.

Leadership SchoolLeadership School Historic

Leadership Autumn School 2008Leadership Autumn School is the second event from the Leadership School Series which took place between November 9th and 14th at Rosia Montana in Apuseni Mountains. The participants enjoyed a great unique experience of trainings, workshops, and unprecedented team building activities and business simulations everything in a place covered in tradition and old customs.

This edition’s main theme was Passion in Leadership, and the topics which we’ve approached were: Urgent vs. Important in life, About priorities and values, Why Passion and how does it determine excellence?, Leadership without passion, The passion for life, Passionate leaders. The challenge for participants at Leadership Autumn School was to find their true priorities which guide their life and on which it’s worth to concentrate your energy.

Leadership Spring School 2009Leadership Spring School is the 3rd edition of the Leadership School Program and it will take place between April 30th and 6th of May in Poiana Brasov.

Leadership Summer School 2009Leadership Summer School is the 4th edition of the Leadership School Program and it will take place between 2-8 August 2009 in Poiana Brasov.

Leadership SchoolLeadership School The Mentorship Component

The MentorsThey are those authentic leaders from Romania who are willing to offer their whole support for the young people involved in the program. We see them as prodigious people, who have an absolutely remarkable career and who will continue to challenge the young leaders to develop their attitudes rather than applying the recipe. The Mentors will be present at every Leadership School, they will be available to the participants and even more, we will organize monthly mentorship sessions, during which the young leaders will be able to ask for any advice regarding their career and personal development.

Our goal for 2009 is to involve 90 young people in the Leadership School Program and in this way to contribute to their development as authentic Romanian leaders.

Leadership Spring School – March 30 – April 6 2009Leadership Summer School, 2 editions– August 2 -8, 2009

Because one of the most important objective of the Leadership School Program is the development of a young leaders network we started a mentorship program to come as a continuous process of Leadership School. This program consists from monthly free meetings of 2 -3 hours with our mentors ( check slide 5)

Our vision is to transform the Leadership School in the best training program for young leaders from the South-Western Europe. Our very good feedback that we’ve received from everybody involved gives us the certitude that we are on the good track in realizing these visions.

At the end of the following year, when we’ll count our results and what Leadership School means we will invoke the following aspects:

• 2 editions in 2009• 10 leadership days • 90 young leaders involved• 30 guests • 6 mentors

In 2009 we would like to involve in the Leadership School Program 18 youngsters with leadership potential from the less-favored Romanian areas. Those will also participate at the Mentorship Programs and in the activities of the partner companies.
