MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear friends,

This past year has been an exciting period of progress in Anchorage through the collaborative efforts of United Way! We feel privileged that you have chosen to partner with us by making an investment in the betterment of our community.

At United Way, we are committed to authentic engagement with our diverse population, creating long-term social innovation that produces healthy, well-educated and financially-stable individuals and families. Because of you, our loyal donors, the graduation rate has climbed to 76%, over 17,000 of our neighbors received primary and specialty medical care, and no children were unsheltered this past winter.

Affecting positive change in our community requires that we work collectively – foundations, businesses, government, schools, churches, nonprofit organizations and individuals – as we can achieve much more in partnership than any one group can achieve on their own. Your belief that we are all in this together is what drives our passion and fuels our work.

With your generous contribution of time, funding and advocacy, we continue to make significant inroads towards our collective goals and vision for a strong, healthy and thriving Anchorage.

Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm!

United Way Emerging Leaders are dynamic, civic minded, young leaders and the next generation of philanthropists. As leadership donors you are setting the example for them and we hope that you will encourage the young people you know to join in support of our work. Participants in Emerging Leaders are offered unique year-round opportunities to meet new people, network, develop professional skills and knowledge, volunteer and give back to the community. It all starts with a donation and desire to make a difference. Who better to share the value of community engagement than all of you? Have the Emerging Leaders in your circles contact [email protected] or call 263-3831 to get involved.

EMERGING LEADERS

United Way of Anchorage thanks all Leadership givers for their generosity and support, including those who wish to remain anonymous and those whose pledges were received after this printing (June 11, 2014).

While United Way recognizes all Leadership gifts processed through our office, some contributions are forwarded to other United Ways throughout the state, per donor instructions. Additionally, please be aware that some companies have made the decision not to release donor information.

While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, we sincerely apologize for any errors or omissions. Please call our Workplace Campaign Director at 263-3818 with any comments, corrections or questions.

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU

Have you been giving to United Way for 10 years or more? If so you are a Loyal Contributor!

United Way’s Loyal Contributor program recognizes and celebrates individuals who have supported United Way – in any community, at any amount – for 10 or more years and, in doing so, have made a lasting impact on our community. Those that have been giving for 25 years or more are considered Diamond Donors.

We want to recognize you, thank you, invite you to special activities, and make sure you know how important you are to us. If you have given to United Way for 10 years or more and it is not noted in this booklet, please let us know: Call 263-3818 or email [email protected].

Your continued gifts have been essential to United Way’s success. Thank you! We look forward to saying it again and again.
