The incorporation of “Smart Villages” to the territorial approach based on innovation

In Smart Villages, new and traditional networks and services are enhanced through digital and telecommunications technologies, innovations and better use of knowledge, for the benefit of citizensand businesses.


Common project activities and to be developed by each LAG

1.- Activities of the Training Program: Activity to be developed by each MEMBER LAG

2.- International Seminars:

2.1.- Organization of the Seminars in Spain

2.2.- Attendance at Seminars organized by the other LAGs.

3.- Design of the Evaluation Model: Common Activity (Shared by all LAGs).

4.- Technical Coordination Meetings.


1.- Training Program: 10 initiatives of different types have participated:businesses, NGOs, foundations, and also public entities.

of the current evaluation systems applicable to innovation and LEADER.

2.• Identification of Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Quantitative

/ qualitative indicators.

3. • Design of the long-term evaluation model. The aim is to

systematize a Stage evaluation methodology.

4. • Training of technical teams in the evaluation model already

agreed upon.



Identify the development potential of innovation and smart solutions in the current programming framework (2014-2020).

Identify existing evaluation needs and capacities at the activity, PLDS and PDR levels.

Compile the results of the work and research carried out so far in the field of innovation.1. Analysis of previous documentation.

Standardize specific tools for monitoring and evaluating innovation and smart solutions:•within the framework of LEADER both at the level of activity•as well as at the level of the PLDS itself.

Provide a specific model that complies with the monitoring and evaluation requirements established by regulations, and that makes theimpact of innovation in the LEADER framework visible.

Establish a continuous improvement tool that allows the local action group to identify findings and incorporate the lessons learned into its management.
