The System

• 14 kilometres of double track running line• 16 tram stops (16th - Edinburgh Gateway opened 11th December 2016)

• 6 Interchanges with other transport network.• Services operates 05.00 – 23.45 364 days a year with:

• 7.5 minutes headways 06:30 to 18.30hrs• 10 minutes headways outside these hours

• End to end Journey time of 36 minutes

• Operations consists of:• 52 Drivers• 7 Depot Drivers• 7 Ticketing Services Supervisors (TSS)• 54 Ticketing Services Assistants (TSA)• 10 Controllers• 6 Duty Managers

• 6 Interchanges with other transport networks• Low level tram stops • Depot halt (If Required).

Tram Fleet - CAF• 27 CAF units• 42.8 metres long (in seven sections)• 250 passengers • 78 seats, 2 dedicated wheelchair spaces• 100% low floor, step-free boarding• Wide gangways and room for luggage• 70kph maximum speed (50mph)• 18 of 27 trams in the Operational pool at any one time• 12 weeks in Conservation – Minimal maintenance• Pre Service daily operational checks - undertaken by

Edinburgh Trams • CAF Maintenance traditional cumulative regime based on a 2

weekly cycle
