Due to the Covid-19 restrictions wecouldn’t have all the students presentaround the flag but a few selected studentsattended the ceremony while the Principaland Head Boy raised the flag and thestudents sung the National Anthem as amark of respect. Thanks to moderntechnology, the event was shared live onFacebook and everyone around the worldcould watch and be a part of the ceremony. This was followed by an Arabic and EnglishSpeech and various activities were thenconducted in class to focus the students’attention on the importance of Flag Day.

With more flexibility, self-directed study options, and access to the sameinstructors and teachers as traditional learning, it’s no surprise that onlinelearning is popular. But is online learning as good as face to facelearning? It may be — and may even be more effective in some cases! We, at Crown Private School, are providing a teaching platform ofblended classes with face to face and online students. We see that weuse differentiation and also collaborative learning by making theoptimum use of zoom and the features like breakout rooms offered. Itallows the teacher to focus on a few students who sometimes need alittle extra handholding while the others learn collaboratively from theirpeers. There has been great feedback from parents as far as theeducation and safety of students are concerned. Thanks to themanagement and all the staff who made it possible.

Parent of Grade 3 Student.

Dear Principal,I just wanted to share my sincerest thank you. It has not been an

easy transition for any of us, but your leadership and positive

attitude have helped to change the school a lot.

I’m mother of a student who was in this school since KG 1 and I

really can see the progress in the school and my son but what you

did this year was extraordinary in this hard time. My son loves his

new expert hard working teachers such as Ms Anja, Ms Tyran

and Ms Marwa.

Those teachers that keeps giving their feedbacks the positive

before the negative without even asking. They keep updating me

about my son progress. I really appreciate your weekly

newsletters and your constant dedication to keep us parents

updated and informed, especially during these rapidly changing

times because of COVID pandemic. Your dedication to the

students shows and is much appreciated. I feel very

fortunate to have you as our principal during these

challenging times. Thank you for all that you do.
