Gap left to identify/resource vital support/coordination of QQI IV and EA processes at local level. Gap left to identify/resource monitoring and evaluation of programmes. Need for measured and agreed approach to looking at duplication, etc. Changing role of TSOs in the absence of a national system
Challenges and Implications
Challenges for LCETB Implications for QQI/ETBI/SOLAS
Alignment of QA systems and approaches Guidance and capacity building
Change Management re. support structures and resources necessary for a meaningful QA system
Lobby with SOLAS and ETBI about the urgent need for resources to support an effective QA system for the FET sector
Broader mandate of LCETB to adult learners in our communities – how to maintain supportive role with community partner around quality standards (even for non QQI providers)
QQI need to ensure re-engagement conditions do not result in exclusion of community based providers best placed to engage with hard to reach learners.
Business/Service Planning will demand cost effectiveness analysis on accreditation bodies
Clarify the benefits/supports provided for ETBs by QQI in exchange of fees
Planning and Reporting Systems:MIS/PLSS
Ensure QBS search facility meets demands for accreditation data from SOLAS
Restructuring of Organisation
