Circulairiteitsscan (Circulair Design Tool) – vlasvezelcomposiet vs. Traditionele vervangingsopgave
6
De +Circular Design tool helpt om de circulariteit van een ontwerp inzichtelijke te
maken door bepaling van:
- CO2-uitstoot
- MilieuKostenIndicator (MKI)
- Material Circularity Indicator (MCI)
˗ Sanky diagram -> geeft de herkomst en de herbruikbaarheid van de materialen
(los of samengesteld in componenten) in het ontwerp visueel weer
- Aangevuld met een kostencalculatie

MKI – Milieu Kosten Indicator
12
• MKI is een methode om de milieueffecten (13
stuks) te berekenen van een materiaal, een
bouwwerk -of methode. De gehele
levenscyclus komt daarbij in beeld, vanaf de
winning tot en met de sloop.
• MKI wordt berekend met behulp van DuboCalc
en resulteert in een fictief bedrag. Hoe hoger
het bedrag hoe grotere milieubelasting.
Afbakening Life Cycle Assessment

- Alleen schaduwontwerp van vaste brugdek
- Enkel beschouwing van de hoofddraagconstructie;
- Randelementen en leuning buiten beschouwing
- Invloed gewicht varianten brugdek op onderbouw op kwalitatief niveau beschouwd;
- Levensduur van de brug van 100 jaar, zonder vervanging van de hoofddraagconstructie
- Berekening CO2-uitstoot en MKI uitsluitend getallen gebruikt uit de Nationale Milieu
Database (NMD) conform bepalingsmethoden voor GWW-werken;

15
˗ MKI voor glasvezelcomposiet is bepaald met de processendatabase
˗ MKI voor vlasvezelcomposiet is gebasseerd op de LCA van vlasvezel volgens de
internationale standaarden ISO 14040 en ISO 14044;
˗ UGP Coating stalen brug gaat 25 jaar mee;
˗ Glasvelcomposiet UPG 80% verbranding en 20% stort einde levensduur -> studies
laten zien dat hergebruik ook mogelijk is

Monitoring
Main Goal
25
• The main goal of the monitoring plan is to obtain more data-driven insights and
knowledge about the bio-based composite deck of the bridge. This concerns the
condition, properties, behavior and lifetime of the composite deck.

Strain state vs yield strain
35
• “Working” strain state of the bridge in comparison with
the yield strains defined during the experimental test
material session
• Already proved to be beneficial for decision making
with respect to actions after a calculation mistake in
the produced shape of the fixed-span
Deflection model
36
1)
2)
3)
• Strain values along the bridge
(top and bottom edge)
• Draw strain regression lines
• Calculation of the curvature
along the bridge
Integrate twice
and adjust for BC’s
Capturing creep effect (pre-creep session)
37
1. Selection of the most
compressed sensor
2. Relate temperature data
with strain data
3. Extracting the temp effec,t
“isolating” thus the creep
effect
4. Draw creep prediction lines
