Hi Everyone, I’m Max. My owners were moving and couldn’t take me with them so now I’m here looking for a new family to love.
My skin might look a little rough right now but it’s getting better every day! I’m good with other dogs and I even lived with a cat and older kids. I really love rawhides and bones and if you give
me one I will settle down right next to you and entertain myself. With all those great qualities, I really am a catch!
My name is Mona, and I am a beautiful calico with a really lovely face and green eyes. I purr easily, and when you scratch my head I make the cutest little chirping noises. I enjoy being
petted and am a friendly girl. My former family had a lot of cats and a dog, and I didn’t much care for the other animals.
There were a lot of kids and all the activity and noise was just too much for me. So you see I would prefer a quiet home
where I can have some time to myself.

Holiday shoppers spend bil-lions of dollars each year on gifts for friends, family and coworkers. But holiday shop-pers also spend substantial amounts of money dressing up those gifts with bows and wrapping paper. Shop-pers may not want to spend much more on wrapping paper, bags and other ways to dress-up their gifts, and by em-ploying a few tricks of the gift wrapping trade, they may not have to. The following are some frugal, yet fl ashy, ways to wrap presents this holiday season.
* Children’s artwork: Over the course of a school year parents can accumulate doz-
Frugal gift wrapping ideas
ens of original pieces of art from their children’s time in the classroom. Instead of relegating those pictures to a memory box or temporary glory on the refrigerator, turn them into unique gift wrap. Pair these pieces of art with colored ribbon, and everyone who gets a unique masterpiece will feel special.
* Newspaper: Recycle news-print and comics into wrap-ping paper. Encourage ev-eryone to wrap in newspaper for a cohesive look come Christmas morning.
* Cloth: Leftover cloth from Halloween or cloth purchased to create home-made curtains can be turned into giftwrap for awkward-shaped gifts. Use decora-tive ribbon to seal the bundle shut.
* Brown paper: Brown paper tied with twine or ribbon is inexpensive and can easily be recycled after use. Use a marker to put the names of gift recipients on each pack-
age to save on gift tags as well.
* Glass jars: Use mason jars
when wrapping smaller gifts, including gift cards, to give them an arts-and-crafts feel.
* Fabric gift bags: If you’re handy with a needle and
thread, sew sacks out of leftover fab-ric to make gift bags of various sizes.
* Cookie tins: Find unique cookie tins from yard sales or leftover tins from holidays past and use them as gift boxes.
* Recipes: If you will be giving a cookbook or food-themed gifts, print reci-pes that can be used as gift
wrap and then later used to make certain dishes.
* Baby linens: From blan-kets to wash cloths, use baby linens to wrap infant-themed gifts for new parents.
* Baskets: Wicker baskets are available in various shapes and sizes. They can be used to make a gift col-lection and then reused over and over again.
There are many creative and inexpensive ways to wrap gifts this year instead of relying on preprinted and often expensive wrapping paper.

Gizmo
KikiKiki is a shih Tzu, 6 yrs old and fully vetted.
Kiki is a friendly little sweetheart.
If your looking for an older, smaller dog then we have GIZMO for you. He is a 7yr old Shih Tzu. Ready to be your lap dog.
Gizmo is housebroken and we are told a real smart little fellow.
This is little Miss Penny and here is her story. She is a little Min Pin about 8 lbs, 12 months old. She is up to date on vac-
cines and microchipped. She is the cutest, sweetest love bug and needs a family to call her own. This older couple picked her out from a breeder and could not afford any veterinary care. One day she ran out, got
hit by a car and her leg was broken in two places. They could not afford to have it fixed so it healed slightly off kilter. Miraculously
she jumps, plays, runs and you would never know that this happened to her except
occasionally she holds the back leg up. We are all not perfect and this should not stop anyone from giving this cutie pie a furever home. She is the perfect lap dog and she is housebroken and crate trained. Please call the shelter for more info at 518-654-6220 or
come by to meet her.

Jobs in environmental indus-tries abound, as more and more people are interested in protect-ing the planet and reversing the damage caused by years of environmental neglect. Study-ing to become an industrial or environmental hygienist is an opportunity for eco-conscious students to do their part.
Environmental and industrial hygienists investigate and in-spect residences, rental units, offi ces, workplaces, factories, warehouses, and commercial and public buildings for envi-ronmental health threats such as toxic mold infestation, bac-terial contamination, lead in paint, lead in drinking water, and radon.
When environmental health problems are discovered, hygienists prepare detailed, step-by-step environmental remediation action plans to get rid of problems such as toxic mold growth hidden in-side walls, ceilings, fl oors, at-tics, basements, crawl spaces, and heating/cooling equip-ment and ducts. Property owners or managers can then use the remediation plans to correct the problems on their own. Many homeowners choose to hire qualifi ed and certifi ed environmental pro-fessionals, such as certifi ed mold inspectors and certifi ed mold remediators, to address any issues in their homes.
Prospective or current envi-ronmental professionals who become members of the Envi-ronmental Hygienists Associ-ation enjoy a host of benefi ts,
Environmental hygienists make a positive impactsuch as training and certifi ca-tion to become certifi ed envi-ronmental hygienists, profes-sional industrial hygienists, certifi ed mold inspectors, cer-tifi ed mold remediators, and certifi ed ozone professionals.
To facilitate the process of be-coming an environmental hy-gienist, the EHA opened a new Environmental Hygienist and Industrial Hygienist training center in Montrose, Mich., to train and certify new EHA mem-
bers from various areas within the United States and across the globe.
Students can combine ex-tensive online and home study with three days of in-tensive hands-on instruction with environmental inspec-tion, testing and remediation equipment to be trained and certifi ed as either a certifi ed environmental hygienist or professional industrial hy-gienist.
