MEMORIAL MASS: Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 13th November at 12.00 noon, to remember all those buried in our churchyard and Memorial Garden and for all who have died in recent months. All are welcome.

ALL SAINTS’ DAY: Sunday is All Saints’ Day. All Souls Day will be on the Tuesday 2nd November.

MASS TIMES: From January the Friday Mass at 7.15am will be only on the First Friday of each month, and on every Friday in Lent. Also from January the 8.30am Mass on Sunday will be discontinued. Evening Mass on Tuesdays at 7.30pm. will remain, with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 6.45pm.

CATHEDRAL MASS: Mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral on Sunday 7th November for all who have died in the pandemic and to thank all NHS, Medical Staff and Care Workers.

COLLECTIONS: Thank you for contributions to the Priest In Retirement Fund (£597.50), Catholic Education (£352), Peter’s pence (£437.50). Please continue to give to SVP and CAFOD.

DIACONATE MINISTRY: Anyone eligible and interested in training for or hearing about the diaconate ministry is always welcome to speak to Mgr John and Deacon Tony Johnson.

PARISH CHOIR: It is good to see that singing is returning gradually to our parish liturgy. Footsteps have returned to sing on the 1st and 4th Saturdays of the month at the 5.45pm Mass. The Choir will return on the 21st November, 10.30am Feast of Christ The King Mass and on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. We are delighted to have them back and grateful to Laura Cruse for leading the choir. A Service of Readings and Carols is arranged for 21st December at 7.30pm. To which all are warmly welcome. We have no organist. If anyone can play Mgr John know.

COP26 TALKS: Please pray hard for the successful outcome of the crucial meeting about Climate Change.

PARISH CLUB: Consideration is being given to its future use. A lot of remedial and structural work (and money) will be needed to make it fit for purpose as it remains closed.

FIRST COMMUNION: Masses will be in Spring/early summer of 2022 – dates to be arranged. Please try to attend Mass regularly and the meetings in preparation. First Reconciliation will be celebrated at St Helen’s church on 9th December at 5.00pm. For all our First Communion group.

CONFIRMATION MEETINGS: St Helen’s Parish Centre preparation meeting on Sunday 7th November at 4.00pm and 5.00pm.

LOURDES IS BACK: Young people can apply for the Lourdes Youth Pilgrimage from Thursday 21st-Saturday 30th July. The cost is £540 (which can be reduced by fundraising).
