Dear Parents and Guardians, We are proud that Larrakeyah Primary students are participating in dance at The Beat “Amaze” production this week at the Darwin Entertainment Centre (DEC). The Beat showcases the talents of NT students and our students have been practicing hard. Many thanks to Mrs Vrettis for the time that she has given to The Beat rehearsals and training our students. We are all looking forward to The Beat production this week. Our students are also practising for Larrakeyah Primary’s whole school production of A Night On Broadway. Tickets are now on sale at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. Tickets are selling fast! Tickets can be purchased either online www.yourcentre.com.au or from the DEC Box Office. $22 adult and $12 child or concession holders. There is no charge for Larrakeyah Primary students who will be performing. As the concert is “out of normal school hours”, Larrakeyah Primary students can only attend if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Any Larrakeyah Primary students attending who are not participating in the Performance must be seated with their parents and a ticket needs to be purchased for them. We have noticed an increasing number of students who are waiting for parents for quite a while after school – this can be up to 90 minutes on some occasions. School finishes at 2.45pm. It is the responsibility of parents to promptly collect students from school or organise alternative supervision arrangements. We have an Out of Schools Hours Care (OSHC) program operating at the school. Please contact the school for OSHC information.
