Lapardin_Book of Victims of Political Reprisals in Russia
In English. The data are based on the local Russian Books of Memory available on the web. This is Excel file. You may choose "Download" in View option here and open it or download for easy reading. The Scribd view hides two thirds of wide spreadsheet. Remarks to .xls (Excel) spreadsheet: Blue highlight: multiple repression against same person, yellow highlight: reprisals against individual farmers (1930 collectivization campaign). GENERAL REMARKS: Reprisals against LAPARDIN's family members only: total of 120 events (arrests, evictions, shootings, jail terms, labour camps) involving 113 victims, from Sept 30,1929 (the first arrest) to March 8,1947 (the last sentence). Large family (11 siblings) of my father (Laperdin Stepan Nikolaevich, born Feb 2, 1921 in Byrka village - died May 14, 2002 in Chita, Russia) didn't fall under direct reprisal, at least, I've got no info about that. Three brothers: Nikolay, Stepan and Mikhail faught in the WW2 as combat officers, were decorated with high State awards, all three were lightly (by war measure) wounded and came back alive from the war. My father, as a commander of one, and later four, 45mm antitank guns crew, went through Stalingrad (the entire campaign from summer '42 to spring '43, inside the city), crossed the Dnieper, and finished the war in the town of Hatvan, sixty km off Budapest, saved by a Hungarian family, who were hidding themselves in the basement of their home during the street fight between Russian antitank artillery and German tanks and who dragged wounded young Russian officer out from the street into their shelter and dressed his wounds with their clothes and bed-linen. There was a nice girl, whose photo my father kept in our family album all the time after the war. There was only one limitation for my father's family members: they had to live far off major urban centers. This restriction was broken only in the middle of the sixties, and one of minor brothers, Victor, a scientific researcher, managed to move, with his family, from the Ukrainian city of Donetsk to a distant suburb of Moscow (Kraskovo), but only to face for many many years another restriction (there was no housing market at that time, but distribution/awarding system): never give decent flats for newcomers. Compiled by: [email protected] (Mr. Gennady S. Lapardin). Note on pronunciation and spelling: French pronounciation of [A] in [PAR] gives an open [A], hence frequent Russian transliteration as 'LAPERDIN'.
