1. Objective of the EMP

The objective of the EMP to assist Champasack EDL brand staff, responsible and carry out the mitigation and monitoring of the environmental impact associated with construction of transmission lines to the villages. 2. Sub-project Description This sub-project will be constructed along exsting road to proposed electify villages. Some area is decradation forest, paddy filed of villagers in each village. The line route selection was fully consulted with villagers in each village this is to minimise enviroenmntal impact and avoid distrub to villager’s properties. In case of can not avoid the impact and need to be removed tree from the line. Villager will full coorperate and will not request for any compensation. • Technical Description of the sub[project

3. Mitigation Plan

Because of the power line will be passed through the old line, so no need to build a new power line, avoid to damage an environment anymore.

5. Institutional Arrangement

5.1 Institutional Responsibility and Capacity

Environment unit is part of the planning division and under EDL branch and will

be report this organization. For the best activities will be cordinated with district and

village concerned in this sub-project.

5.2 Environmental Information Flow Environment unit will report directly to the head of planning Division, Director of EdL Branch ESU in Vientiane, EDL and reporting need to be send to the District also.

trees which have to cut for construction of the line, they agreed to cut and no need to get any compensation, during the construction they will provide labour and give the place for construction team to live.
