About The Lano Company
• Founded in the Winter of 2004 by Miranda Coggins.
• Coggins had been a chronic chapped lip sufferer for years and couldn’t find lip balm that worked so she decided to create her own in her kitchen.
• Coggins developed a now patent-pending formulation of Medical-Grade Lanolin, jojoba and sweet almond oils and vitamin E.
• Shared with friends and family and was encouraged to start selling to local area retailers.
• Received a positive response and was soon selling to all 50 states.

Most Lip Care Products – Contain a majority petrolatum or wax
Petrolatum – Also known as Petroleum, lies on the top of the skin because the molecules are too large to penetrate the skin. This product acts as a binder for the other products, but essentially has no other purpose.
Wax – Wax has no healing purpose other than to coat the skin giving you temporary relief. Wax will coat and protect from wind or harsh effects of the sun if the wax based lip balm contains an SPF.
This is why most people with chapped lips feel the need to have to continually reapply!

Summer 2007 – Worked Closely with Skin Caner Foundation to make consumers more aware of dangers of the sun on the lips. Donated 25 cents for every lip balm sold for the entire summer.
Fall 2007 – Aggressive PR campaign being launched to 70 National Health and Beauty Magazines.
October 2007 – Women’s World Magazine doing a voluntary write-up on how great LanoLip is for dry lips.
November 2007 – Health Magazine - Must have Holiday gift ideas for total Lip Care.
December 2007 – NBC Business in Action TV Interview
February 2008 – Family Circle Issue feature and mention on NY news station to make lips kissable for Valentines.
