In August,1919,
as a result of
Continual Werangling inthe Company between
rival sections of the local Branch of the Gaelic
League a new electionof Officers was Sought
bythe Younger and none Enthusiastic. Members
of the Company and theBattalion Staff
Acceded to the request.The Following
Officers were then elected and theyheld Office,
Without a break, Until the Setting up by
G.H.Q. inSeptember, 1921, of the New Dublin
No 2.

In September 1919 All Units in South
County Dublin WereFormed into a New
Battalion of the Dublin Brigade, designated
the 6th Battalion, Andy MacDonnell was
elected Commandant at ameeting of

in No 3 Campfield Terrace, Dundrum, the
residence of Mr Laurence Raul. Ata Subsequent
Meeting of the Battalion Council appointments.
To thevarious Staff Ports were made, existing
Company Officers Were reappointed and
vacancies Created by Promotions to the Battalion
Staff Were Filled.
