The school is currently busy organising and making preparations for the 2019 school year. As part of this process, over the next two weeks, all staff will be involved in Planning Days in their 2019 stage teams. These Planning Days replace the normal Release from Face to Face that staff are entitled to. Teachers will be working on reviewing and adjusting 2019 yearly overviews, scope and sequences and teaching and learning programs, organising pre-assessments, organising the handover of 2018 assessment data to the 2019 classroom teachers, organising and purchasing of resources to support 2019 programs, organising excursions and artworks for the P&C art auction. Best Start Booking Parents of 2019 Kindergarten children, please don’t forget to book your Best Start Interview. There are a number of parents of current students who have not yet done so and bookings close 10am , Wednesday 19 December. Ethics classes are an option for all NSW public school children (Kindy-Yr 6) as an alternative to scripture or supervised care. Interest in ethics classes is increasing however, without more volunteer Ethics Teachers some children will miss out.
NSW public primary schools urgently need parents, carers and the community to get involved and VOLUNTEER TODAY.
Ethics classes are free for public school students and
organised by the charity Primary Ethics, who are authorised
and approved by the NSW Government.
Volunteers usually commit to a 30 minute lesson each
week plus a little preparation time (during the school
term only). All Ethics Teachers are provided professional
training, engaging curriculum and ongoing support.
Teaching children ethics is fun, challenging and very rewarding, get
involved today!
