18th - 29th August Landscape: Study, Design and Do Axel Ewald and Dr Margaret Colquhoun Cost: Week 1 : £500 (£400 concessions), participation in the Week 2 is free The whole of Pishwanton’s landscape has been developed over the last twenty years by The Life Science Trust out of a collaboration between Goethean Science and Art. This leads to an amazing experience of Consensus Design. Two founder Trustees of the Trust will be working together again after over twenty years to study and plan the entrance and a welcoming walk through the orchard with pond feature to the Pishwanton Project. Axel Ewald is a sculptor and environmental artist. His expertise includes artistic practice in a wide variety of fields, conception, design and execution of environmental and community-based art projects, as well as teaching and environmental consultancy. His work involves an interdisciplinary understanding of the relationship between people an places. Currently he is studying for a PhD in Social Sculpture at Oxford Brookes University. Margaret Colquhoun studied Evolutionary Biology at Edinburgh University, where she also worked subsequent- ly as a Research Scientist in the 19790’s. In the 1980’s she trained as a Goethean Scientist in the Carl Gustav Carus Institute, Germany and at the Natural Science Research Laboratory in Dornach Switzerland. Since 1989 she has been teaching throughout Britain and Europe and in 1996 was co-founder with Axel of the Pishwanton Project of the Life Science Trust, which she currently runs and teaches within the College for Goethe- anism. She offers a consultancy service on landscape development and gives private tuition in Goethean Science.
