INTEROPERABILITY TESTING/
• CAP – Compliance Assessment Program
o CAP testing is a federally defined set of tests with the primary goal of
validating basic interoperability between different manufacturer’s products
for a P25 defined interface - DHS Safecom DHS FEMA
• IOT – InterOperability Testing
o IOT testing is a Cassidian defined set of tests with the primary goal of
validating a detailed set of use case conformance tests required to achieve
the highest degree of interoperability based upon use case possibilities
between manufacturer’s products for a P25 defined interface
o IOT is Cassidian’s answer to Motorola/Harris’ internal single manufacturer
compliance testing
