LAND DEED Grantor: James Reed Grantee: David Jernigan Source: Fayette County TN Deed Book F, pg. 398 Date: 14 January 1837 Notes: 210 acres / $1,683.00 This Indenture made this fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty Seven Between James Reed agent and atty. in fact for Alexander Reed of the one part and David Jernigan of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of Sixteen hundred and Eighty three Dollars in hand paid by the said David Jernigan to the Said James Reed at and before the dealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained Sold aliened enfeoffed, and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff and Confirm unto the Ssaid David Jernigan his heirs and assigns for ever a piece or parcel of Land two hundred and ten acres and 60 poles being part of Warrant 398 number of Entry 287 whole tract 1097 acres beginning at a post oak Wiley B. Jones’ N.
