What is a Comma?
ANIMAL? VEGETABLE? MINERAL????
NO! It is not any of those things.
3
A comma (,) is a punctuation mark with literally endless uses.
…or maybe just 12?
Each way the comma can be used is related to marking-off separate
elements within a sentence.
4
ONE : INTRODUCTORY ELMENTS
Commas can be used after introductory elements. They can be used in a long
prepositional phrase, a participle phrase, in adverbial infinitives, as a dependent
clause at the beginning of a sentence, or as a mild interjection.

EXAMPLES MAKE LEARNING FUN!

SEVEN : DATES & ADDRESSES FIND COMMAS TO BE QUITE USEFUL!
