Lady Antebellum cancels show after tragedy Lady Antebellum, the popular country trio, and Janet Jackson have both cancelled their upcoming concerts at the Indiana State Fair after the deadly stage collapse, just before Sugarland was set to go on stage. The band watched the horrific scene unfold as did many other Americans. Five people died and over 40 were injured after strong winds caused the scaffolding and lighting rig on the stage to come crashing down into the crowd. It was a disturbing incident because it could have happened anywhere, and most have been to concerts at fairgrounds with similar setups. According to KOIN, Lady Antebellum, scheduled to perform Friday, issued the following statement "We were so sad to hear what happened and have kept the families of those injured and especially those that lost their lives in our prayers." Lady A may be able to have a show later, but the atmosphere at the fair just won't be a good one for them to have their performance, and it would likely be colored by their sadness for the victims.
