Director’s Corner...Dear Parents/Caregivers

On Thursday, 19 December, we farewelled our remaining 4 board-ers at the aiport and bus station. On most occasons, I divorce myself from getting emotional and teary eyed as we hug and say goodbye.I’m not sure if it was hayfever from usual clean up or lack

of sleep, but I was clearly a mess, as I drove from the airport after watching Jade Strickow, unaccompanied minor, board her flight from Palmy to Melbourne. Enough about me.

As senior boarders left after their last NCEA exam in November, junior boarders took on the responsbility of maintaining usual day and boarding school routines such as meals, duties, worship and church. With smaller numbers at this time of the year, it was a real treat, in getting better acquainted with our junior boarders.

Junior Prizegiving was held the last day of school, 18 December. It was a fantastic occasion, and a very proud day for boarding parents who were able to attend. For year 8 - Jotham Tesese received co-Dux & Citizenship Awards, year 10 - Jerome Afoa & Jayden Tamatoa Warren-Peu received co-Citizenship Awards, year 10 - merit, Jade Strickow.
