Teachers meeting

On Sunday, September 8, 2019, First Kids will have a Sunday school

teachers meeting at 4:00 p.m. We ask all teachers currently serving and

those interested in serving to please attend this meeting. We will meet in

the children’s area on the 2nd floor.

Parent Meeting

First Kids ask all parents to join us for an informative meeting on

Sunday, September 22, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. This will be a good time for

those who have not met Holly to meet her and ask any questions about

the upcoming year. Meeting will be held in the children’s area on the 2nd

floor.

Claybank Worship

First Kids have been working hard and will be singing during the chapel

service for the Claybank worship service. On Sunday, October 6, 2019, we

ask all kids to join us at 6:00 p.m. to sing in the chapel. We encourage all to

attend this fun evening of worship.

Volunteers

We are excited to announce that First Ozark now offers a

Children’s Worship during our 11:00 a.m. worship service. If

you are interested in volunteering to help teach during this

service, please contact the church office at 334-774-2569

DHR DRIVE

Top Floor Youth are collecting toiletry items for DHR throughout the

month of September. For those interested in donating to this effort, please

bring items to the church workroom.

College Care Packages

We will be putting together care packages for our students who have just

left for college. A list of needed items will be placed in each Sunday school

classroom for those who will be donating. Cards of encouragement would

also be appreciated to include in the packages. A list of student names will

be made available for those who donate cards. Our goal is to divide the

names among everyone to make it easier to complete the cards. Top Floor

Youth will pick up all the items from each Sunday School room at the end

of September to assemble and send the college care packages to our

students that are away. Thank you so much for helping our students get

some love from home and for serving them in this way!

Congratulations to Nash Carrington who graduated Cum Laude from

Auburn University on August 3, 2019, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media

Studies and a minor in Sports Coaching.

Thank you very much for the love and support you have shown to me all

through the years! I was required to intern in my major field of study

before graduating from Auburn University. I enjoyed interning as a media

specialist at the church this summer, and it was an honor to serve in this

way! A picture of the church with signatures on the back was presented to

me at the 9:00 a.m. service on July 28, 2019. I deeply appreciate this very

meaningful gift! It will be a special keepsake of my time interning at the
