The diaphragm pumps ME 1 and ME 1C offer a compact and highperformance solution. With their easy-to-use functionality, they areperfect partners for both single and multiple filtrations.

One-stage diaphragm pumps are an excellent solution for continuous,oil-free pumping of gases and vapors for modest vacuum requirements.In contrast to water-jet pumps, they do not consume water andtherefore do not produce any contaminated waste water in daily use.Vacuum filtration is frequently used for sample preparation in chemistry,microbiology, waste water control and analysis.

Aluminum PTFE designTypical applications for the ME 1 are aqueous filtrations. The PTFEdiaphragm and valves are rugged and provide high chemical resistance.If aluminum has the required specific resistance, solvent-containingsamples can also be filtrated.

Chemistry designIn the chemistry diaphragm pumps („C“) all major parts in contact withpumped media are made of chemically resistant fluoroplastics. The ME1C is also often used for solid phase extraction (SPE). An optionalmanual regulator valve with dial gauge enables variable fine adjustmentof the pumping speed and the ultimate vacuum.

These inoculation loops are made of flexible polystyrene and have ultra-smooth loops enabling problem free planting and streaking ofcultures. Free of lubricants, oils and electrostatic charges, they enableconsistent and complete liquid transfer. Loops do not cut or gouge theagar surface during streaking. Ergonomic design of the loop handleimproves grip due to the large handle. When viewed in cross section,the shafts of the loops have a hexagonal shape which creates a handle with six flat surfaces.
